How to Wear a Patent Leather Skirt?

80’s glamour is back this fall and one of its part and parcel is patent leather. I am very into patent leather skirts this season but wearing them can be quite tricky. So how to style them to not look trashy? I think that the most important is to keep the balance. If you wear a mini skirt, keep the top half covered and loose and don’t wear it with very high heels. Check out below my suggestions of styling it.

Trendspotting: Ankle-Wrap Sandals

Summer is here and one of the trendiest accessories you can wear during hot days are lace-up sandals. Preferably ankle-wrap this season. There are much easier to wear then very high gladiator sandals from last season. They go perect with all kind of dresses and shorts, as well as with culotte pants, so it’s really good to own a pair, and you have a pretty great choice in shops right now. Look at below gallery to see what designers suggested on their SS16 runways, and then make your pick from high street shops.

How to Wear a Hoodie?

Thanks to Vetements (and a little help from Rihanna and Kendall Jenner), hoodie is back this spring. It is cool to wear it now all day – check out this video with Imaan Hammam. Below you can find my suggestions how to wear the hoodie in different ways and look chic. Try it with a trench coat and sneakers, with tailored pants, heels and a leather jacket or with a bomber jacket, skirt and sandals.

Trendspotting: Heavy Sandals

One of the biggest shoe trends for spring/summer are heavy sandals. A lot of designers showed their versions of chunky shoes. They would look great with something more feminine. Check out the slideshow from runways SS16 to get inspired and pick some high street option from Mango, Zara, Topshop, H&M or Asos.

Spring 2016 Trends

There are many different ways to find out which trends are going to be the hottest of the season. First, you can keep an eye on all the fashion houses as they strut down the runways all around the globe. With fashion weeks hitting major cities like New York, Paris, Milan, and Berlin, designers show off their collections for the upcoming season, often setting the tone for what we will see on the racks in stores. It’s the trickle-down effect from runway to mainstream.

Spring Trend: Blouses

This kind of blouse, with wide hem and lace details, is a great option for spring and summer. It looks great with denim shorts and gladiator sandals as well as with flare jeans for a boho look.
